Jessica Winders

Jessica Winders is the associate director for academic residential research initiatives, a position that supports student success initiatives and undergraduate engagement in the research mission of the University of Oregon. Her position is a collaboration between University Housing and the Division of Undergraduate Education and Student Success. Jessica contributes to student success development of academic opportunities, including Academic Residential Communities (ARCs), faculty-in-residence, faculty fellows, the annual Undergraduate Research Symposium, and academic support initiatives (e.g. tutoring, advising) in residential spaces.

In her role, Jessica serves on the Undergraduate Research Symposium Steering Committee, the Council for Undergraduate Research and Distinguished Scholarships, the ARC Council, and is the co-advisor for the ASURE student group (Affiliated Students for Undergraduate Research and Engagement).

Jessica earned a bachelor's degree in earth science from the University of Oregon, and a master’s degree in postsecondary adult and continuing education from Portland State University.
