Amy Davies is the senior assistant director for advising in the Office of Student Financial Aid and Scholarships. Amy oversees all student workers in the office and two full-time financial aid counselors. She also schedules for the advising team and hires and trains student workers. Amy strives for excellent customer service and communication, particularly among under-represented groups. She oversees our Dual Enrollment program, our veteran programs, and our foster youth program.
Prior to joining the University of Oregon in 2020, Amy worked as a financial aid representative at Ozark Technical Community College. Amy is involved in the Oregon Association of Student Financial Aid Administrators, serving as the membership chair for 2023–2024. She is also an active member of the Inclusion, Diversity, Ethnicity, Equity, and Action (IDEEA) Committee for the Western Association of Student Financial Aid Administrators. In 2023 she was accepted to the National Association of Student Financial Aid Administrators Diversity Leadership Program in our region.
Amy has a bachelor’s degree in business management from Evangel University and is currently working toward a master’s in postsecondary adult and continuing education at Portland State University, expecting to graduate in June 2025. Amy is involved in the UO’s Asian, Desi, and Pacific Island Strategies Group. In her free time, she loves thrifting, watching good shows, and spending time with her family.
