Stacie Irvin is the director of events for Student Services and Enrollment Management, providing support to division-wide events focused on recruiting prospective students to the University of Oregon, fostering brand awareness, and engaging the wider community. Stacie focuses on high-touch, large-scale events on campus and across the country. She and her colleagues use their deep working knowledge of the division to ensure that events meet programmatic and strategic needs to support Student Services and Enrollment Management and the overall mission of the university.
Prior to this position, Stacie began her work at the UO in 2006. Stacie worked in career services, university housing, and conference and event services. In her role as director of conference and event services, Stacie was able to lead and manage operations for large-scale national and international events. She was recognized for her work, and has since performed in a consultant role when looking toward future events hosted both at the UO and nationally.
Stacie is a transplant from Louisiana and earned her bachelor’s in hospitality and tourism management with an emphasis in large-scale event planning from the University of New Orleans. Prior to working at the UO, Stacie worked in higher education at her alma mater and was heavily involved with student development and engagement supporting her peers. Stacie’s own experiences during her undergraduate career heavily influenced her decisions to continue working in higher education to support students and their families.
Stacie enjoys the outdoors, being on the water whenever possible, and recreating home-style dishes from New Orleans to share with family and friends.
