Michelle Holdway is the associate director for scholarships in the Office of Student Financial Aid and Scholarships. She coordinates the administration of centralized scholarship programs and manages staff responsible for the application, selection, and renewal of university-wide awards. Michelle and the scholarship team work closely with academic departments and outside organizations that provide student scholarships. They seek to increase awareness of funding opportunities through outreach and student advising. Michelle holds a bachelor’s in English from the University of Idaho and a master of liberal arts degree from Johns Hopkins University.
Through her years as a financial aid professional, Michelle has been an active member of national, regional, and state organizations and has chaired committees, served on boards, and presented at conferences.
When her nose isn’t in a cookbook (or a scholarship essay), Michelle enjoys having her hands in the dirt or her feet on the dance floor. After years of exploring Oregon with her husband John, she enjoys seeing it all anew—and discovering more—with her outdoors-loving kid, Henry.
