Joelle Rankins Goodwin is senior associate director for recruiting and administration in the Office of Admissions. Joelle joined UO Admissions in 2012 after being an active duty Army officer. Joelle is a 1986 graduate of the University of Oregon with a degree in communications. She was commissioned as an Army officer through the UO Military Science, Army ROTC program—serving 24 years in the Army specializing in military intelligence. Prior to retiring from the Army, she served as the executive officer for the UO Army ROTC program. Joelle has been an active member of the UO Alumni Association, holding positions at the local and national levels for many years.
Joelle enjoys volunteering in her community and served on the boards of many community organizations including: Southtowne Rotary Club, HIV Alliance, UO Lane County Alumni Chapter, and the Episcopal Campus Ministries. A former Mrs. Oregon America, she now serves as the organizations co-director. Joelle enjoys pageants, bodybuilding, Duck football, and spending time with her husband Bob, son Ian, and their English bulldog Patsy.
