Jasmyne Channel

Jasmyne Channel serves as the interim associate director for residential experiences at the University of Oregon. Jasmyne joined University Housing as an assistant director for residence life in August 2021. Prior to joining the UO, Jasmyne worked at Oregon State University in University Housing and Dining Services. Jasmyne earned a bachelor’s in sociology from Florida State University, and a master’s in higher education from Missouri State University.

In her role, Jasmyne oversees the residential curriculum and community engagement in the residence halls, strategically working with faculty and campus partners to stimulate the intellectual development of the residents. She provides support and direction to the assistant directors for residence life, advises two student organizations—RHA and NRHH—and develops leadership initiatives for residential students.
