Cora Bennett is the director of Student Orientation Programs and manages the student ambassador program and orientation events, including IntroDUCKtion and Week of Welcome. Since joining the division she has grown the office, adding four full-time staff members and additional students to meet the ever-growing interest in the UO from prospective students and visitors. The programs she manages employ 80 students as ambassadors who present the UO experience to new Ducks as well as to more than 30,000 visitors each year.

Cora has a long history with recruiting students, having been part of the student recruitment team while earning her undergraduate degree at the UO. She is active in NODA, the association for orientation, transition, and retention in higher education, having served a term on its board of directors, chaired several regional conferences, and served on its 2014 national conference planning team. NODA also recognized Cora as the 2011 Regional Outstanding Orientation Professional. She is proud to give back to the UO by serving on the Duck Store's Board of Directors since 2010.

A voracious reader, Cora also plays a mean game of cribbage and is an avid amateur landscape photographer. She loves taking extended road trips to capture a beautiful sunset or the perfect cloud.
