With the help of our student advisory board, our staff, and invaluable collaboration with campus partners, Mariko also aspires to create a community of care for our students with the ultimate goal of creating a positive and meaningful college experience for all our Ducks.
Born and raised in the Midwest, Mariko received her bachelor's at Northwestern University while majoring in cognitive science and psychology. After serving as a Peace Corps volunteer in Nepal, Mariko returned back to the Midwest to earn both her master’s and PhD in counseling psychology at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. During her down time, Mariko enjoys having good food with good company, new adventures whether hiking or exploring new cities with her partner, and playing ultimate frisbee.
