As SSEM’s assistant director of research, Andre Klest both supports and leads research and reporting efforts around the freshman recruitment process, and provides regular reporting and enrollment projection updates to SSEM leaders, Admissions Office, and other campus colleagues. He also provides research support to University Housing and Strategic Communications and Marketing. This research regularly includes the assessment of evidence-based housing programs and the impact of these programs on student retention and graduation rates, and on students’ academic achievement.
Andre first began working with SSEM at the University of Oregon in 2018. He received his BS in biology from the UO in 2011, and his MS in prevention science with an emphasis in quantitative research methods from the UO in 2018.
