Shannon Millington, PT, is the director for ancillary services at University Health Services and oversees all clinical ancillary services including pharmacy, lab, radiology, dentistry, and physical therapy and sports medicine. She also oversees the Student Health Benefits Plan. Shannon oversaw the 2015 implementation of an electronic health record system, which enabled the health center to modernize the provision of care and position itself for future insurance billing. Shannon has also negotiated contractual agreements and developed effective partnerships with off-campus partners—including PacificSource Health Plans and more than 90 specialty medical, dental, and mental health providers that make up the UO Direct Network—all for the benefit of University of Oregon students on the Student Health Benefits Plan.

Before arriving at the UO in 2005, Shannon practiced physical therapy in a variety of settings including private practice, hospitals, and rehabilitation centers. Shannon enjoyed practicing physical therapy at University Health Services for more than 10 years as the working manager. She continues to treat patients on a more limited basis, which keeps her connected to students and the clinical work being done in the health center.

Shannon has a bachelor of science in physical therapy from the University of Vermont. Shannon and her husband live an active lifestyle, including volunteering as alpine patrollers for the Willamette Pass Ski Patrol, hiking, sailing, and surfing.
