Gilbert Rogers

Dr. Gilbert Rogers is the senior assistant director of financial wellness in the Office of Student Financial Aid and Scholarships. Gilbert manages the daily operations of the Financial Wellness Center and leads campus financial literacy education efforts. He enjoys building partnerships across campus and bringing financial literacy education to new spaces.

Before coming to the UO, Gilbert was the inaugural director of financial wellness at the University of Tulsa. Prior to that, he worked in corporate finance as a consultant and budget manager. He currently serves as a board member on the Higher Education Financial Wellness Alliance committee and has presented at state, regional, and national conferences representing the UO in financial literacy and wellness areas. The UO peer financial education program that Gilbert started has garnered praise from schools and higher education professionals across the nation.

Originally from Kentucky, Gilbert came to the UO from Oklahoma in 2020. He holds a bachelor’s in finance, master’s in human performance and recreation management, and a doctorate in educational leadership from Spalding University. Gilbert enjoys spending free time with his wife and three daughters, and watching sports.
