Allie Cashen is associate director for digital communications and strategy for Strategic Communications and Marketing in Student Services and Enrollment Management. Allie works within the SSEM customer relationship management (CRM) system to create, manage, and create strategy for communications to prospective students, including email campaigns for different student populations, event communications, and ad hoc messages. Allie also supervises the web developer team, and acts as lead on large website redesigns. Additionally, Allie is a client manager for clients in both enrollment management and the Division of Student Life, and is in charge for all paid social media. Most recently, Allie started a market research team where she leads research to help inform strategy and best practices for projects within strategic communications.

Allie earned a bachelor’s degree in journalism with an emphasis in strategic communications from the University of Nevada, Reno. After college Allie worked as a newsroom clerk and reporter in Juneau, Alaska. Allie then transitioned to higher education and began working at the University of Arizona in 2015 as a communications coordinator. While at the UA, Allie did communications for both undergraduate admissions and enrollment management, and the graduate college. Allie has worked at the UO since 2019. Allie also earned a professional certificate in digital marketing.

Allie was born in Las Vegas, Nevada, and having lived in extreme weather environments from Arizona to Alaska, Allie is happy to have found her Goldilocks place in the Pacific Northwest. On the weekends you can usually find her hiking with her family, heading out to the coast, or begrudgingly running for some race someone convinced her to sign up for.
