The determination of the transferability of courses occurs within the Office of Enrollment Management. This articulation is completed by the Office of the Registrar, whose staff determines appropriate levels and equivalencies for courses from fully-accredited post-secondary institutions. For some institutions, a full articulation agreement exists; i.e., a comprehensive collection of an entire course catalog is articulated, and equivalencies can be viewed on the Registrar’s Transfer Credit Equivalencies web site.
The University of Oregon encourages all applicants to submit their transfer work on official transcripts as early as possible so that course transferability may be determined. For both domestic and international institutions, course transfer will be determined upon receipt of an official transcript for a student who has submitted an application for admission.
Institutions that align with the long-term strategic enrollment management initiatives, as determined by OEM Leadership, and that meet student enrollment criteria, will be considered for extensive course-to-course articulations prior to students’ applications.
